I've set up a search to find certain types of "recycling." So, I use recycling and then take those results into four particular types of recycling. However, does anyone know how do I delete the results that do not fit into the four subcategories?
I have a lot of exclusions, but still have a lot of results in my account that I do not need.
I'm thinking there has to be (or should be) a way to take a group of results, remove what I want, and then delete the rest.

Would be great if you could share the solution here as well. I am currently running a monitor for a brand that gets a very large number of mentions in SM and MSM. Need to be able to filter data sets to refine the search keywords.
Peeyoosh,
Sorry for belatedly getting back to you. Here's the process if you have a main keyword or phrase, and then filter those results into subcategories, and want to delete what remains.
Setup>Manage Categories>Create New Category (in otherwords, your subcategory; where you want to place the filtered results)
Setup>Category Rules>Create & Run the rule for the New Category you created above. This will tell SM2 to assign results to the new subcategory for future searches.
For the FIRST time only, you'll have to go into the large category and use the "search filters" tool to get earlier results for your new subcategory. Select them and use "Add to Category" to move them to your new subcategory.
Then, use the "Remove from Category" tool to remove those from the large, main category.
Delete what's left in the main category.
After this initial moving, you should only have to use the "Remove from Category" the items that are now also in the new subcategory. Once those are removed, it's okay to delete what's left.
Connie & others at Techrigy: If I missed something in the above, please clarify/correct.
Thanks.
-Mike
